Aspiring Water delivers the untouched purity of New Zealand’s Southern Alps in a way that respects the source. We provide premium, naturally filtered water extracted from an underground aquifer South of Wānaka, canned in infinitely recyclable aluminum and produced using solar energy.

We can at the source to minimise transport, our entire warehouse runs on solar, and prioritise low-impact materials across our packaging, including vegetable-based inks and cardboard sourced from FSC grown and approved trees.
Our approach is to operate in a way that respects how the environment already works - practical, self-sufficient, and without introducing anything that doesn’t belong.

The water we use begins in the Main Divide around Mt Aspiring National Park. Snowmelt and rainfall move through the mountains into a network of rivers and braided channels, carrying water across rock, gravel and valley floors before settling underground.
As it travels, it passes through layers of schist and natural sediments, where it is gradually clarified and stabilised by the landscape itself. By the time it reaches the aquifer, the water has developed a natural balance of minerals, and its alpine origin gives it a fresh, crisp flavour profile.
This natural process supports and sustains everything around it, feeding rivers, ecosystems and landscapes, all working together as part of the same system.
ALUMINIUM SOLUTION
Every year approximately 1-2 million tonnes of plastic end up in our oceans. We believe that aluminum cans are the best solution to help solve our global plastic problem. By offering an infinitely recyclable alternative to plastic bottles, it is possible for cans of Aspiring Water to be opened, enjoyed, recycled and returned back to the shelf.
It is estimated that plastic waste in NZ accounts for up to 20% of landfill space. Aluminum is more easily and efficiently recycled than glass or plastic, using around 95% less energy and emissions than creating a new can from raw material. So, it provides a brilliant solution which not only protects our marine environments but also reduces our landfill impact.
Aluminum cans also have the added advantage of providing a long shelf life by protecting products inside from light, oxygen and other factors which can affect taste and product safety.
